I arrived here just outside of Cremona one week ago today to begin a fabulous new chapter of life in Italy. As I packed things up in Ithaca to prepare for a 6-month sabbatical here, I thought of a different pace of life, inspiring new projects, new friends and “family,” and of course, food and wine to die for. It has been a joy to settle in.
Cultural diplomacy projects with the non-profit Periscope, teaching at l’Istituto Stradivari in Cremona, work with our Cornell branch in Rome, and concerts in Milan are all to come, so stay tuned. Below, I leave you with a few photos from my first days here…
Sono arrivata qui a Manerbio una settimana fa per cominciare un capitolo nuovo della vita in Italia. Ho un sabbatico da 6 mesi qui, e pensavo di l’idee dei nuovi progetti, gli amici e una “famiglia” nuovi, e il cibo e il vino incredibile. E’ stata una gioia.
